Minerva Academy’s road to Norway Cup glory

Minerva began their campaign with a 25-0 win over Norwegian outfit Aksla IL. They carried the same momentum forward. In the second group stage game, the Indian boys thrashed Forde IL 15-0 before getting the better of Krokelvdalen IL 22-0 in the final group-stage encounter.
In the Round of 16, Minerva defeated Roglands BK 11-0, which was followed by a commanding 17-0 win over Amdal-Tokke FK in the pre-quarterfinals.
The quarter-final was a tougher match. Minerva played against Rawahel Charity from Palestine. But the Indian team stayed calm and strong. They won the game 8-2.
In the semi-final, Minerva took on Gaular FC. They played with full power and won 18-1. This win sent them into the final. In the final, Minerva faced SIF, a good team from Norway. But Minerva were too strong again. They won 6-1 and became the Norway Cup U14 champions.
Raj and Denamoni shine in Minerva Academy’s European dominance
Several players stood out throughout Minerva’s extraordinary campaign. Raj, Denamoni, and Chetan consistently scored a lot of goals. The Minerva boys showed that the boys from India are equally capable enough to score big against some of the best youth teams from Europe.
But it wasn’t just about the goals, Minerva’s defensive stability was equally commendable. The team just conceded four goals in eight games, creating an defence that was difficult to breach.
