Panagiotis Dilmperis’s Punjab FC have had a magical start to their 2024-25 Indian Super League (ISL) season, as they have won the opening three fixtures of the season, and currently stand at the top of the table mid-way through match week three.

This fantastic start to the league has accredited Punjab’s head coach Panagiotis Dilmperis as the first-ever head coach in the ISL to win his opening three fixtures in his debut season.

Panagiotis Dilmperis’ impact on the club has not only been in regards to the results but also with the way that the Shers are currently performing on the pitch and the mentality with which they enter each game.

Although Punjab lost their most vital player Luka Majcen in the first game of the season against Kerala Blasters, that did not impact their momentum even once, and Panagiotis Dilmperis and his team did quite a commendable job of finding alternate ways of finding the back of the net, and have gone on to score four goals in the last two games.

This instance serves as a testament to Punjab’s indomitable spirit, and their resilience mentally, both of which are crucial in the path to success.

Dimperis’ attacking football is not only effective but is also quite pleasing for the onlookers, and he has transformed Punjab FC into a team that churns out results whilst playing a beautiful style of football.

What next for Punjab FC

With three wins in their first three games, Punjab FC will be quite motivated to keep their glory run going. Having defeated the likes of Kerala and Odisha, Punjab have already proved that they have the caliber to cause major upsets this season.

But the road won’t be easy for Panagiotis Dilmperis and his men. Next up the Shers take a trip to the Kanteerava, to take on a star-studded Bengaluru FC, before facing Chennaiyin and FC Goa in their upcoming fixtures.

As the season progresses, the games are only going to get tougher and more competitive. It will be a survival of the best and the strongest, and Punjab FC have surely proved their worth so far this season, that they have what it takes to be resilient and face every challenge on their way.
