Reliance Foundation Development League (RFDL) 2025-26 Regional Qualifiers: North Zone Fixtures

The North Zone qualifiers will be quite competitive.

The Reliance Foundation Development League (RFDL) 2026 kicked off on 15th December 2025. 54 teams have been divided into nine divisions as the race to be crowned the national champions of 2025-26 has begun.

Mohun Bagan are the reigning champions of the RFDL tournament, with Bengaluru FC the most successful team with two titles so far. The North Zone has always been a tight affair; however, this year, the intensity should rise even more, given that the young players have been starved of minutes due to the uncertainty of the domestic leagues.

Who is playing in the RFDL 2025/26 North Zone Regional qualifiers?

Six clubs will be competing in the 2026 RFDL regional qualifiers – North Zone over the next few days. The matches are set to be played at the Frontier FC Ground and the Sudeva FC Ground between 27th December 2025 and 8th January 2026.

The North Zone is a tight affair with ISL and I-League teams in the mix to get a ticket to the Zonal stage. Only 24 of the competing 54 clubs will qualify for the next round, with two clubs guaranteed a spot from each group.

Punjab FC, Sporting Club Delhi, Inter Kashi, Rajasthan United FC, Downtown Heroes, and Sudeva Delhi FC are the six clubs taking part in the North Zone of the RFDL tournament in the 2025-26 season. The fifteen matches are divided into five matchweeks, with each team playing the other in a round robin format.

The Indian Super League’s Punjab FC will be the club to beat. The Shers won the RFDL title in 2024 and have also recently been given a 5-star academy accreditation by the AIFF. Inter Kashi’s youth squad will be inspired by their senior team’s I-League winning campaign last year to add wind to their sails.

The newly rebranded SC Delhi will be competing in the RFDL tournament for the first time. Sudeva Delhi qualified for the zonal group stage last season and will look to build on that. Rajasthan United and Downtown Heroes, on the other hand, will be the two underdogs in this North Zone group.
