Rodrigo de Paul, Luis Suarez to join Lionel Messi for GOAT Tour 2025 in India

Messi will be in India from 13 to 15 December.

Lionel Messi is all set to visit India after nearly 14 years. His first visit to India saw him leading the Argentine side against Venezuela in a friendly clash at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata. The news of his arrival broke the internet as fans across various parts of India can’t wait to watch their icon in front of them.

To double the happiness, Satadru Dutta, in his Facebook post, announced that Messi’s two Inter Miami teammates, Rodrigo De Paul and Luis Suarez, will also join him in his GOAT Tour visit to India in 2025.

As part of Lionel Messi‘s GOAT tour, he is set to visit three Indian cities, Kolkata, Delhi, and Mumbai. He is also expected to meet a lot of dignitaries, including top athletes from different sports, and also the honourable Prime Minister of India, and many other bureaucrats and top leaders.

The 31-year-old Argentine international, Rodrigo de Paul, has plied his trade with top European clubs like Valencia and Atletico Madrid in the Spanish top flight. He also made over 100 appearances with Udinese in Serie A before being loaned to Inter Miami in the MLS.

His list of international accolades is extraordinary. He played a crucial role in helping Argentina win the FIFA World Cup in 2022, while also winning the Copa America in 2021 and 2024 recently. He is coming on the back of an excellent season after being named in the La Liga team of the season 2024-25.

Suarez to link up with Messi

It is a double delight for FC Barcelona fans who would be thrilled to see two of the best ever players to have ever donned the Barca jersey. Suarez played for Ajax and Liverpool before making his move to join the duo of Neymar and Messi in the Camp Nou.

He went on to win four La Liga titles with Barcelona and also won the Copa America 2011 with Uruguay. He is currently playing alongside Lionel Messi in the Major League Soccer with Inter Miami.

This is huge news for the Indian football fraternity as some of the biggest footballing stars are set to grace Mumbai, Kolkata, and Delhi.
