Lionel Messi will be visiting India nearly 14 years after his first visit to India, back in 2011, when he played a friendly against Venezuela at the iconic Salt Lake Stadium. The news of his arrival broke the internet as fans across various parts of India can’t wait to watch their icon.

The last time Lionel Messi visited India, Messi was just 24 years old. Since his last visit, Messi has gone through a series of ups and downs in his career. From almost retiring after missing the penalty against Chile in the Copa America Finals to probably ending the GOAT debate after conquering the world in 2022.

In this feature, we shall find out what Messi’s 3-day schedule looks like across four different cities in India from 13 December to 15 December.

Lionel Messi’s itinerary for the G.O.A.T Tour

Messi will kick off his four-city India tour in Kolkata on December 13. He will then visit Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and New Delhi. During the tour, Messi will headline concerts, meet fans, take part in food festivals, lead football masterclasses, and play in a padel exhibition at Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium.

In Kolkata, he will appear at Salt Lake Stadium, now known as Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan, marking the second time the stadium will host him, for the GOAT concert and GOAT Cup on December 13.

In Mumbai, Messi will join the “Padel GOAT Cup,” sharing the stage with stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Sachin Tendulkar, and MS Dhoni. The tour will end in New Delhi with a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 15, wrapping up a memorable visit to India.
