Where and how to watch the SAFF Women’s Championship 2024?

The seventh edition of the SAFF Women’s Championship 2024 will kickstart on the 17th of October, 2024, at the Dasarath Stadium, Kathmandu, Nepal. The South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) is organizing a tournament for the national women’s teams that will feature seven teams from the South Asian region.
In the first match of the tournament, the Indian Senior Women’s team are set to face the Pakistan team. The match is scheduled to start at 5:15 PM IST. The Blue Tigresses will face defending champions Bangladesh in their final group match.
India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan have been drawn into Group A. On the other hand, hosts Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, and the Maldives are in Group B. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semifinal, which will be played on October 27th. The final is scheduled for October 30th.

The Blue Tigresses, ranked 126th in FIFA Women’s rankings, are one of the favorites to win the tournament. They won this trophy in the inaugural season (2010) and again in 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2019, and 2022.
However, in the previous edition, they suffered their first defeat in tournament history, losing to Nepal 1-0 in the semifinal. Bangladesh went on to win the SAFF Women’s Championship, defeating Nepal by a 3-1 margin.

Where to watch the SAFF Women’s Championship Trophy 2024 in India?
All matches of the SAFF Women’s Championship 2024 will be broadcast live on the Fancode app in India. To watch the tournament, fans will need to purchase a pass costing 49 Indian rupees or have a subscription to the Fancode app. However, there is no live telecast arranged for this tournament.
