The Mizo striker has massive experience playing across top clubs in India at the highest level. Most SLK teams are forced to use their overseas slot to bring international strikers to score goals. However, Daniel fixes that problem for Malappuram.
Last season, the Payyanad side relied heavily on direct and transition heavy counter attacks. Daniel on the other hand can act as false number nine, who can create spaces by pulling out centre backs from their defensive lines.
He is a big match player and his experience makes him a reliable presence in the Malappuram side. He provides a calm and veteran voice in the dressing room.
Malappuram eye maiden final appearance in SLK

After a disappointing debut in SLK, Malappuram fared well last season.
They finished third and made it to their first ever playoffs. In the semi finals, they suffered a 3-1 defeat to Thrissur Magic, who scored thrice.
They turned the Payyanad Stadium as their fortress, recording one of the highest average attendances in the Super League Kerala 2025-2026 season.
With Daniel’s arrival, Malappuram’s offence looks really strong. After all, they were also one of the highest scoring teams of the season.
The seasoned Indian striker is all set to light up the Payyanad Stadium in Manjeri as they going a step further and making it to their first ever SLK Finals.
