Sunil Chhetri turned back time as he starred in Bengaluru FC’s win against the Southern rivals.

The EA Sports FC (formerly known as FIFA) game series has recognized Sunil Chhetri’s hattrick against the Kerala Blasters. The Bengaluru FC skipper has been included in EA FC’s Team of the Week for Matchweek 13.

The 40-year-old has received an 83-rated card with 83 shooting stats and an 89 pace. Sunil Chhetri has also been given 81 for his dribbling and 83 for his physical stats in the game.

The Indian legend shares the stage with 22 other players who are included in the EA FC 25 TOTW for match week 13. The likes of Antoine Griezmann, Joao Cancelo, Cole Palmer, Jamie Vardy, and Jamal Musiala are also part of the featured players for the week.

In general, Chhetri has a 66-rated silver card on EA FC 25. The former Indian skipper has been given a rating of 72 pace, 66 shooting, 56 passing, 64 dribbling, 32 defending, and 74 physical in his regular card.

EA FC have honoured Sunil Chhetri Before!

This is not the first time the EA Sports FC game series has honored the Indian legend. Sunil Chhetri was given a 96-rated End of an Era Card in EA FC 24.

The special card was brought in the game after Chhetri had announced his retirement from the Indian national football team earlier this year. Sunil Chhetri’s 96-rated End of an Era card is still the highest-rated card for any Indian player in the video game’s history.

Chhetri created history against the Kerala Blasters!

Having turned 40 in August, Sunil Chhetri is showing everyone that age is just a number. The Bengaluru FC captain’s hattrick against their rivals means that Chhetri is now the oldest player to get three goals in a game in Indian Super League history.

Owing to his latest foray, Chhetri now has three ISL hat tricks, the highest among Indian players. Bartholomew Ogbeche currently leads the pack with four ISL hattricks and it has to be seen if Sunil Chhetri can catch up to the Nigerian this season.

Bengaluru FC are battling it out for the ISL Shield

Bengaluru FC are joint leaders in the ISL courtesy of their 4-2 win over the Kerala Blasters at the Kanteerava Stadium. However, Mohun Bagan are still leading the pack on goal difference and they also have a match in hand over the Blues.

Sunil Chhetri, with eight ISL goals, is the current top scorer for Gerrard Zaragoza’s side. With the battle for the Shield set to go the distance, can Bengaluru FC clinch their first ISL Shield? Let us know your thoughts…
