Jamshedpur FC eye first win under new head coach Steven Dias in Super Cup, against Inter Kashi

Jamshedpur FC reached the Super Cup finals last season
Jamshedpur FC and Inter Kashi are set to play their final AIFF Super Cup 2025-26 group stage match on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the GMC Bambolim Stadium in Goa, with kick-off at 4:30 PM IST.
Things have not been all good for the Red Miners ever since Khalid Jamil left the Steel City to pursue his national team ambitions. For the first time in the last four years, Jamshedpur FC will not be playing the semi-finals of the Super Cup after clinching just a solitary point in two games so far.
Inter Kashi, on the other hand, kick-started their Super Cup campaign after holding North East United FC to a draw. However, their last defeat against Goa ended their qualification hopes. The newly promoted ISL team will be keen to end their campaign with a win over Jamshedpur in the next game.
The Stakes
Jamshedpur FC

Jamshedpur FC have been the only team to make it to the Super Cup semi-finals in the last three editions. Khalid Jamil’s men reached ever so close to representing India at continental stages after reaching the finals last season. There were too many expectations from the reigning finalists to perform this season.
But the Red Miners, led by Steven Dias, underperformed massively after failing to clinch even a single win from the last two games. The former India international would be looking forward to securing his first win as the new head coach of Jamshedpur FC in the next game.
Inter Kashi

The I-League champions, Inter Kashi, have never failed to pull out upsets whenever they faced big ISL sides. Last season, they knocked out Bengaluru FC from the Super Cup, and they started the new season well after holding the Highlanders to a 2-2 draw in the opening game.
The Aghors under Abhijit Mondal suffered a big defeat against Goa in the last game. In their last game before they make their entry into the ISL, they will be tempted to cause another upset against Jamshedpur FC in the bottom-of-the-table clash.
Team News
Apart from Talal’s fitness concerns, Jamshedpur has a fully fit and available squad. Inter Kashi interim coach, Abhijit Mondal, is also expected to field a fully fit and available side.
Head-to-Head
These two sides will lock horns against each other for the first time.
Predicted Lineups
Jamshedpur FC (4-4-2):
Albino Gomes (GK), Nikhil Barla, Stephen Eze, Pratik Choudhari, Sarthak Golui, Pronay Halder, Rei Tachikawa; Vincy Baretto, Madih Talal, Nikola Stojanovic; Messi Bouli
Inter Kashi (4-1-4-1):
Shubham Das (GK), Aritra Das, Ashray Bhardwaj, Kojam Beyong, Sandip Mandi, Karthick Panicker, Wayne Vaz, Prabir Das, Haobam Tomba Singh, Harmanpreet Singh, Sumeet Passi
Key Players to Watch
Albino Gomes (Jamshedpur FC)

Albino failed to make even a single appearance for Red Miners in the Durand Cup this season after Khalid preferred Amrit Gope. After Dias took over, Albino started in the first two games. The Goan custodian had an impressive campaign for the Red Miners last season in ISL and almost took them to the ISL Finals.
His performance in the Super Cup, however, has not been up to the mark and has failed to keep a single clean sheet. As the ISL is set to begin in a few months, Gomes will be keen to get his first clean sheet against Inter Kashi in the next game.
Harmanpreet Singh (Inter Kashi)
The 24-year-old striker from Punjab has plied his trade with top clubs like East Bengal, Bengaluru FC, and Namdhari FC before joining Inter Kashi. He scored in the first game against North East United FC in a tightly contested 2-2 draw.
He has even represented the India U20 side 14 times and will be looking forward to finding his name in the scoresheet for Kashi in the next game against Jamshedpur.
