Kerala Blasters return to footballing action after almost 6 months as they take on Rajasthan United FC in the group stage of the AIFF Super Cup 2025-26 on Thursday, October 30th 2025, at the GMC Bambolim Stadium in Goa.

The two clubs are part of Group D, which also has Mumbai City FC, who blew away Sporting Club Delhi with a 4-1 win on Monday. It has now put the pressure on Kerala and Rajasthan to pick up all three points as only the Group Leader will advance to the semi-finals of the tournament. The other three teams will get knocked out.

Kerala Blasters’ shot at silverware

Despite reaching the Indian Super League (ISL) final on three different occasions, the Kerala Blasters have never won a significant trophy in Indian Football. The Super Cup gives them a shot at changing that. Rajasthan United finished fifth in the I-League in the 2024/25 season, and can prove to be an interesting challenge to the Blasters.

The chance of representing the club and the nation through the playoff spot to the AFC Champions League 2 will work as an additional motivating factor for both teams, hungry for silverware. Both teams will also be equipped with their foreign players and new signings, making for a very intriguing game of football on Thursday.

At the moment, all four groups are being led by teams from the ISL. While the I-League teams have shown desire and courage to fight for points, they are struggling to get wins against the bigger teams. Rajasthan United have a shot at changing that and emerging on a fairytale run.
