The launch of the Super League Kerala (SLK) in September 2024 marks a significant milestone for football in the state. Kerala has always been a state with a huge and passionate fanbase for the sport. This franchise league promises to grow Kerala’s passion for the sport and provide a platform for their local talent to improve.

The inaugural season features six exciting teams battling it out across four venues in Kerala. Calicut FC, Kannur Warriors FC, Kochi Forca FC, Malappuram FC, Thiruvananthapuram Kombans FC, and Thrissur Magic FC are the six teams participating in the Super League Kerala 2024. The top four teams will advance to the semifinals, culminating in a grand final at the iconic Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium in Kochi.

The Super League Kerala has already started to make a significant impact on Indian football by attracting foreign players. The league’s ability to attract foreign players will create a competitive environment that benefits both local talent and the overall development of the sport. 10. Subhasish Roy Chowdhury

Subhasish Roy Chowdhury is a seasoned goalkeeper with a wealth of experience in Indian football. He has represented the Indian national team on eight occasions, including an exhibition match against Bayern Munich. He had also played for ISL Clubs like East Bengal, Jamshedpur FC, Kerala Blasters, and North East United FC. He is now a part of Forca Kochi FC and will be playing for them in the Super League Kerala.

9. CK Vineeth

Former Bengaluru FC and Kerala Blasters forward C.K. Vineeth who has been a part of the ISL and the I league has signed for Thrissur Magic FC. The experienced forward brings a wealth of experience and goal-scoring ability to the team, making him a potential game-changer in the league.

On the field, Joseba Beitia combines creativity and vision, along with a great wealth of experience to the club from his past days at Roundglass Punjab, North East United, Mohun Bagan, Rajasthan United, and Delhi FC. Malappuram FC had made one of the most significant signings in the SLK with the signing of Alex Sanchez. The prolific striker, who was the top scorer and best player in the I-League last season, has chosen Malappuram FC over offers from the Indian Super League (ISL). He scored 13 goals from 12 matches in the I-League last season and is one of the most awaited performances in the Super League Kerala.
