Ritwik Das, Laxmikant Kattimani named in India squad for Jordan friendly

The Blue Tigers will travel to Doha on May 25 for the match.
The Indian football team head coach Igor Stimac has named the 25-member squad that is set to travel to Doha, Qatar to play a friendly match against Jordan on May 28.
The Blue Tigers, as part of their preparation for the AFC Asian Cup final round qualifiers, had been camping in Bellary and Kolkata, having played practice matches against ATK Mohun Bagan, the I-League and Santosh Trophy All-Stars team and the West Bengal team.
They arrived in Kolkata at the start of May after a two-week camp in Bellary. Following a week's training, the Blue Tigers played the practice matches on May 11, 17 and 20 respectively.

India lost their first practice match 2-1 against ATKMB. They followed it with a 2-0 win over the I-League and Santosh Trophy All Stars team before being held to a 1-1 draw by West Bengal. Sunil Chhetri found the net in the opening two games, while Ishan Pandita and Sahal Samad scored the other two goals for the Blue Tigers in the practice matches.
The Indian football team travel to Doha on Tuesday, May 25, where they will continue their training before taking on Jordan.
Following the completion of the friendly, the team is set to return to Kolkata on May 30, before resuming their training for the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers. India begin their campaign in the qualifiers on June 8 against Cambodia. The hosts are also set to face Afghanistan and Hong Kong on June 11 and 14 respectively.
