Nivia unveil 70-foot Indian football team jersey ahead of Uruguay showdown
The Blue Tigers have faced Brazil & Panama earlier.
So far in the September-October International window, India has faced Panama & Brazil in two friendly games. The Blue Tigers will now be locking horns against Uruguay in a friendly match at the VYBK in Kolkata on 6th October, 2026.
In their game against Panama, India managed to get a 1-1 draw after a 41st-minute goal from Ryan Williams gave the lead to the Blue Tigers. India kept Los Canaleros at bay for a long while, until a stunning outside-of-the-box shot from Omar Valencia equalised the score for Panama on the night.
Brazil won their match against India with a scoreline of 4-0, with goals from Estêvão, Pedro & Samuel Lino. The score does not reflect the quality at which India were operating, since all 4 goals were the result of individual mistakes. India showed a great amount of courage during the game, as they had 3 shots on target out of their total 12 during the game.
