Despite being eliminated from the AFC Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers, Khalid Jamilâs Indian Football Team are preparing for an away match against Bangladesh. With only dignity to play for, the Blue Tigers will want to secure their first win of the season. The match is set to take place at the National Football Stadium in Dhaka on Thursday, November 13.
Amongst the 23-member squad who travelled to Dhaka is Indiaâs new winger, Ryan Williams. The Australian just changed his nationality from Australian to Indian, as his mother was born into an Anglo-Indian family in Mumbai. He has been training with the group for some time and scored against Bhutan in a recent closed-door friendly in Bengaluru.
Is Ryan Williams eligible for selection against Bangladesh?

Ryan has travelled with the group to Bangladesh, but his availability for the match is doubtful as he is yet to get a No Objection Certificate from Football Australia.
Subsequent FIFA and AFC permissions are required after that. Although it appears that the AIFF is working against time to complete the permissions, every Indian, including Khalid Jamil, hopes that the Bengaluru FC winger will be available for selection.

Forwards: Edmund Lalrindika, Lallianzuala Chhangte, Mohammed Sanan, Rahim Ali, Ryan Williams, Vikram Partap Singh.
