Italian giants AS Roma mark 26/11 anniversary, make Mumbai City 'Twitter Team of the Day'

The Islanders are the latest among a number of Indian clubs to feature in the Rome outfit's innovative social media campaign.
Ten years ago, The City of lights, Mumbai, was under the dark shadow of Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists who sailed into the city, destroying the peace and harmony. 166 people died in the attack which spanned all over the City. Ten years have sailed so quickly but the wounds of that incident are still fresh in the hearts of each and every Mumbaikar.
The incident deeply shook the entire world. Today on the mark of the 10th anniversary of one of the darkest day in Mumbai's history, the footballing world too paid their tribute to all the innocent souls who lost their lives in the incident.

AS Roma, the Italian club selected Indian Super League's Mumbai City FC as AS Roma's Twitter Team of the Day, a campaign where they select a club from across the world as Team of the Day. The Serie A club tweeted that Mumbai City FC's crest resembles the Mumbai's resilient identity.

The Mumbai City FC too reverted back with a thank you tweet for Roma's such beautiful gesture.

This is not the first time the Italian club has mentioned an Indian team in there ongoing Team of the Day campaign. Gokulam Kerala was also mentioned by the Italian club a few months ago. The tweet wished southerners a good luck for the ongoing season saying,
"A young Indian club inspired by Roma and one of the only I-League clubs with a women's team at national level. Good luck this season".
