Bengaluru FC striker Miku seems set to sign for Colombian giants Atletico Nacional in the coming days. According to a report by Winsports, Miku will be leaving India to play for the Colombian side who were the champions of Colombia's Categoria Primera A league last season.
Miku was one of the brightest players for Bengaluru FC last season and lit up the Indian football scene with his fantastic goalscoring form. He scored 20 goals for the Blues in his debut season and played a huge part in their Super Cup victory. He was also fantastic in the ISL, scoring 15 goals in the league and helping Bengaluru reach the final in their inaugural season.
But, ever since, Miku has allegedly been unhappy with his wages at Bengaluru FC and has been actively looking for a move to a 'bigger team' who can not only give him better wages, but a bigger platform to perform on. It's because of this that Bengaluru FC signed up former Minerva Punjab star Chencho Gyeltshen in the summer, with that signing, in particular, indicating that Miku might be moving away from the club.

The report also mentions that Miku is expected to be the final signing for Atletico Nacional before the start of the Colombian season. the striker will also be able to play in the prestigious Copa Libertadores after signing for Atletico. Having played in La Liga for Valencia, Getafe and many others as well as having the experience of playing in The Scottish and Qatar leagues, Miku will definitely be bringing a lot of experience to the Colombian giants.

Also, because of Miku being signed from the Blues, Bengaluru will receive a transfer fee for the Venezuluan striker and can invest that in finding a replacement for him.
But, knowing the kind of impact Miku had for Bengaluru last season, it is safe to say it will be extremely difficult for them to sign an able replacement with the ISL being only a few months away.
