The game ended in the first win of the season for the Stallions.

It was an outstanding day for Pune City, as they finally got their much-wanted first win of the season at home against Jamshedpur FC. An early strike from Diego Carlos put the Stallions ahead, but the Men of Steel equalized through a brilliant Sumeet Passi header. However, Matt Mills’ thumping header from a corner in the second half earned his team all three points for the first time this campaign.

Watch: FC Pune City 2-1 Jamshedpur FC highlights

Let's take a look at how the Indian players fared in the game.

FC Pune City

Kamaljit Singh- 8.0

Kamaljit again proved why he should start for the Stallions with another commendable performance. The 22-year-old pulled off an amazing save in the eighth minute. Apart from that he was great under the bar and made some confident collections in the first half.

Gurtej Singh- 6.5

Gurtej was pretty good in the first half as he made a couple of crucial blocks. The skipper looked quite solid after the first the 20 minutes of the game.

Sahil Panwar- 6.0

Panwar started the game very well as he made a couple of vital tackles. However, the left-back committed a horrendous error while clearing the ball once, which almost led to a goal after Passi put him under pressure. Apart from that, he made four tackles overall and also made six clearances and a block. He did his job pretty well on the night as he looked solid on the left flank.

Ashique Kuruniyan- 8.5

Watch: Ashique Kuruniyan was one of the standout players for the Stallions

The youngster was outstanding as usual as he shone bright in attack from the right flank. His spectacular volley in the 18th minute, unfortunately, came back after hitting the crossbar. Ashique was exceptional in the second half too, as he created a couple of good chances. However, was caught offside once in the 71st minute. The winger played an outstanding part in Pune’s first win of the season.

Robin Singh- 5.0

Robin wasn’t too involved in the game for the majority of the first half. Although, he did commit a couple of unnecessary fouls. In the second half, the forward missed a sitter as he headed a superb ball from Ashique after an equally amazing run. He was immediately subbed off in the 62nd minute.

Ashutosh Mehta- 6.0

Ashutosh was quite active on the right flank, but surrendered possession one too many times in the first half. Apart from a few minor errors, the 27-year-old played fairly well. Earned a yellow card in the 82nd minute for a nasty foul.

Adil Khan- 5.5

Like Robin, Adil too, wasn’t too active in the first half. Although, he did maintain a 71% pass accuracy and also made a couple of good clearances. He was eventually substituted in the 82nd minute.

Substitutions

Alwyn George - NA

Came on too late in the game [82nd minute] and thus couldn’t do much to make an impact.

Subrata Pal - 6.0

The veteran keeper did fairly well under the bar as he pulled off an amazing save in the 10th minute from a Marcelinho shot. Subrata was good in the second half too, as he managed to keep out a dangerous shot in the 67th minute. He was helpless when Pune scored their second, as Mills was left unmarked.

Robin Gurung - 6.0

The 26-year-old was kept busy by Diego Carlos for the majority of the first half, but he managed to do his job well. Conceded a yellow card for an unnecessary tackle in the 66th minute. Apart from that, Gurung had a good night as he did his job pretty well barring a few minor errors.

Bikash Jairu - 6.5

Jairu was superb while defending in the first half, as he made some really good interceptions. In the second half too, he managed to keep Iain Hume away from the danger zone on a few occasions.

Raju Gaikwad - 6.0

Raju had a shaky start to the game as Diego Carlos scored early on in the fifth minute. However, the 28-year-old settled into the match as it proceeded. The centre-back looked solid in the second half, as he made two very crucial tackles.

Sumeet Passi - 7.0

It was a fairly good game for the striker, as he tried hard to do everything he could in attack. Passi’s only highlight of the first half came when he scored Jamshedpur’s equalizer by superbly heading the ball into the net. On another occasion, the forward shot the ball wide in the 26th minute.

Jerry Mawihmingthanga - 6.0

Jerry was very active from the right flank, as he made some pretty good runs with the ball in the first half. The winger could’ve done better on several occasions, but it just wasn’t his night. He was eventually substituted in the 65th minute, as Farukh came in.

Substitutions

Mobashir Rahman - NA

Came on in the 74th minute, replacing Arques in the midfield, but couldn’t make much impact on the game, despite maintaining an 83% passing accuracy.

Michael Soosairaj - 5.5

Soosairaj replaced Morgado on the left flank in the 69th minute and couldn’t make much of an impact on the game, despite being present in the danger zone on a couple of occasions.
