The sequence of remarkable away wins continues as Goa trounced Chennaiyin while Mumbai and Jamshedpur both secured gritty draws.

The second gameweek of the Indian Super League drew to a close with late drama in the game between Bengaluru FC and Jamshedpur FC on Sunday.

We at Khel Now take you through the major talking points from this week’s action in the league.

5. Jamshedpur have instilled winning mentality among their players

In their first two games of the season, the Men of Steel went toe-to-toe with Mumbai City and last campaign's finalists Bengaluru FC.

In both of the games, Jamshedpur showed brilliant temperament and composure and kept the hopes of their fans alive till the final whistle. Against Bengaluru, the Men of Steel scored a last-minute equalizer after conceding a goal only minutes ago without panicking. which speaks volumes of their character.

4. Ahmed Jahouh has picked up where he left off last season

Watch: Chennaiyin FC 1-3 FC Goa highlights

The Moroccan midfielder was a revelation for FC Goa last season and has carried his fine form into the new term. The 30-year-old bossed the game against Chennaiyin FC with his tenacity on and off the ball, going a long way to aiding Goa’s dominance in the cash. The Gaurs won the match 0-3.

3. ATK’s lack of creativity is their biggest bane

One of the ISL’s biggest spenders, ATK fell to another defeat at the hands of NorthEast United losing 0-1. However, the scoreline is deceptive as the men in white could have had several goals more had they made use of the possession of which they enjoyed 74%.

Through the years, ATK have played a creative and incisive brand of football that earned them their two league titles. However, the Kolkata side seem to lack thAT creative spark this time around and it is costing them valuable points.

NorthEast United have taken up the role of the perineal underdogs in the ISL, finishing in last place in the previous season. However, they have retained a core squad of Indians from last campaign and are now being rewarded for keeping the faith in their players.

The side now have four points from their opening two games and the fact that they have a very settled side means that they are serious contenders for a playoffs spot this season.
