Jamshedpur FC ended FC Goa’s undefeated streak by romping them 4-1 at the JRD Tata Complex, Jamshedpur On Thursday evening. A superb brace from Michael Soosairaj was followed by a stunning goal from Memo and Sumit Passi to hand an unexpected defeat to Sergio Lobera’s side. The victory took Jamshedpur to third place in the Indian Super League(ISL) table, while Ferran Corominas-less Goa looked meek in all departments. There were some standout Indian performers, while some others were quite disappointing as well.

Watch: Jamshedpur FC 4-1 FC Goa highlights
Here are our Indian player ratings of the evening.
Jamshedpur FC
Subrata Paul- 6.5
FC Goa might have been without Coro, but that didn’t stop them from putting in a barrage of shots at Subrata Paul. The veteran goalkeeper held his ground and gave a stellar display in goal, making a few crucial saves to deny Sergio Lobera’s side.
He made four saves and frustrated Goa with his prowess in goal, as he held a strong figure inside the box. Couldn’t do much about Fall’s powerful header.
Robin Gurung- 6.0
Brought in for Yumnam Raju, Gurung did well to prove himself at right-back. He had a tough job ahead of him marking Mandar but did well to nullify the effectiveness of the wing-back.
Gurung made three crucial interceptions and blocks while proving to be an industrial figure with a couple of crunching tackles too.
Pratik Chowdhary- 6.0
Pratik had the stern job of keeping Miguel Fernandez quiet and did so pretty well. Chowdhary didn’t let the Spanish striker get the better of him in the final third and kept him at bay throughout the match.
While he found good support from Tiri, Choudhary made a few key interceptions and tackles to make his presence felt in defense and contain Goa from terrorizing his side.
Bikash Jairu- 6.5
Returned to the starting lineup after a few games and slotted in really nicely with his team. Jairu did a great job in containing the threat of the in-form Jackichand Singh and Seriton Fernandes on his wing. He supported Soosairaj well and had a terrific passing accuracy of 88%, barely misplacing any of his balls forward.
Jairu made three tackles and five impressive clearances and mostly neutralised Goa’s dangerous right wing.
Michael Soosairaj- 8.5
Picked up from his recent antics against Kerala Blasters and even bettered that, terrorizing Seriton Fernandes and FC Goa throughout the game. Soosairaj’s fantastic ability on the ball was on show again, as he often beat his man and looked really confident in possession. Scored his first with a clever finish from a corner to give his side the lead.

Watch: Michael Soosairaj scored a brace against FC Goa
Soosairaj showed his amazing pace by darting into the box and beating Nawas for his second, which sent the fans into raptures. He’s gaining more and more confidence with each passing game and won another Hero of the Match award with a fantastic performance.
Gourav Mukhi- 6.0
The youngster was preferred ahead of Cahill to lead the line for Jamshedpur and caused quite a few problems for FC Goa’s defense. Mukhi’s movement around the penalty area was really promising, as he got into nice positions and took quite a few swipes at goal.
One of his shots were saved by Nawas and linked well with his attackers to trouble the Gaurs. Got substituted in the second half.
Substitutions
Sumit Passi- 7.0
Passi came on for Mukhi and used his superior experience to prove his clinical ability in front of goal. His movement in the final third was really promising, as he got one shot saved but did not miss when Calvo set up a goal for him on a plate to score from a few yards out.
Passi’s substitution proved to be a success for Jamshedpur and his first goal of the season will give Passi a boost in confidence.

FC Goa
Mohammed Nawaz- 4.0
The young goalkeeper did not have an easy day at the office and was made to work time and again by the relentless Jamshedpur attack. He struggled to cope up with the intensity of the game and made a few glaring mistakes throughout the match.
Nawaz showed poor judgment by coming rushing through for the second goal, which he conceded very cheaply. Got beat easily for Jamshedpur’s fourth goal as well, and it was a troublesome night for the youngster who learned some valuable lessons from this thrashing.
Seriton Fernandes- 5.0
Like Rakip the other day, Seriton was also caused a lot of problems by the brilliant Soosairaj. He couldn’t manage to read his movement that well and got outsmarted quite a few times on the right flank.
Fernandes Had a moment of terror in the 50th minute when he poorly cleared the ball straight into Soosairaj’s path in the box and allowed him to beat him in pace to score. The FC Goa full-back was tame in attack as well and had a game to forget at the end.
Chinglensana Singh- 5.0
Chinglensana has been a star defender for Goa this season, but could not beat the heat at the Furnace. He struggled to cope with the intensity of the Jamshedpur attacks and couldn’t mark Mukhi or Passi that well in either half.
He struggled to cover up for his full-backs and couldn’t marshall his troops at all. Chinglensana was caught napping on more than one occasion and was just as disappointing as the rest of his defense.
Mandar Rao Desai- 5.5
Mandar might not be a defender, but he was defensively better than some of his compatriots on the day. The wing-back moved the ball with fluidity in midfield and had a passing accuracy of 84%.
Dessai also did well to contain the threat of Pablo Morgado on his flank, making five tackles and three clearances to make sure they couldn’t attack from his side. Was caught napping after Calvo easily got behind him to assist Sumit Passi’s goal and was substitution after that error.
Lenny Rodrigues- 6.0
Lenny wasn’t as effective he is on other days, but he made sure to keep the ball moving in FC Goa’s midfield. While he couldn’t manage to dominate his opposition midfielders as much as he’d like, Rodrigues did his job of keeping Goa’s fluid game intact in the middle.
He made a few important tackles to win the ball in midfield and had an impressive passing accuracy of 84% from 62 passes. Was substituted for the more attack-minded Brandon after the hour mark.
Jackichand Singh- 5.5
Jacki’s threat was vastly nullified by the hosts, as he cut a frustrated figure in attack for the Gaurs. He couldn’t manage to get into the dangerous positions he normally does and was contained really well by Jamshedpur. Jackichand only got one shot on target, which was saved well.
He misplaced many important passes and had a disappointing passing accuracy of 50%. None of his creative balls forward resulted in anything and everything he attempted to do was thwarted by the hosts.
Substitutions
Brandon Fernandes- 5.5
Brandon was brought on to add more depth to FC Goa’s attack but couldn’t do anything to help them launch a come-back. Brandon couldn’t manage to get into promising positions in attack and couldn’t create anything for Goa despite many attempts to do so.
The forward failed to get a single cross to a man inside the area and his 33% passing accuracy proves how largely wasteful he was on the ball.
[KH_RELATED_NEWS title="Related News"][/KH_RELATED_NEWS]Manvir Singh- 6.0
Manvir couldn’t even settle into the game before it was gone out of FC Goa’s hands. He tried his best to try and salvage something for them, but his one shot on target was also thwarted by Jamshedpur.
