The youngster is currently plying his trade with Ozone FC in the I-League second division.

Indian Super League giants Jamshedpur FC have made a sensational addition to their goalkeeping contingent. The Men of Steel have roped in India U-16 goalkeeper Niraj Kumar.

The youngster had a great outing with India’s U-16 squad in the AFC U-16 Championship held in Malaysia last year. Niraj played a sensational role in holding the mighty Iranians 0-0 in the AFC U-16 Championship 2018, a feat which India achieved after a long wait of 33 years. The current Ozone FC goalkeeper made stunning saves throughout the game and also saved a crucial penalty, which definitely showed his massive potential between the sticks.

A 1-0 defeat against Korea Republic shattered India’s dream of qualifying for the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup, a tournament where Niraj was sure to be India’s first-choice in goal. The shot-stopper has been solid for Ozone this season, he;ping his team qualify for the final round of the I-League Second Division

Jamshedpur has always been known for producing young talents for the country and joining such a great side hands Kumar a great opportunity to gain the experience and exposure of the highest quality.
