The game saw a lack of attacking intent from both sides.

Mumbai City and ATK played out a stalemate at the Mumbai Football Arena in an Indian Super League fixture on Saturday evening. There was very little attacking football from the two sides and the game had no real chances except for a couple at the end. The draw means ATK stay in the playoffs hunt.

The game was not only unattractive because of the on-field play, but also because of the off-field antics of the Mumbai City goalkeeping coach. The antics of the coach called for the sending-off he received towards the end of the first half.

Watch: Mumbai City FC 0-0 ATK highlights

Here are the ratings of the Indian players involved in the game:

Mumbai City FC

Amrinder Singh- 6.0

The game had very little to offer on the offensive terms from the visiting side. Hence, Amrinder wasn’t asked to do much. The goalkeeper though was alert enough to not let any long-balls from ATK’s midfield create any havoc as he collected all of them with ease.

Milan Singh- 7.0

Milan Singh was handed the task of man-marking Manuel Lanzarote and Pronay Halder and the former Kerala Blasters man did not disappoint. It was his presence that denied ATK any opportunity to attack the Islanders defence. Milan was replaced later by Raynier Fernandes to bring more creative flair to the Mumbai game.

Subhashish Bose- 6.5

The ever-dependable Subhasish had yet another terrific outing as he kept his flank quiet. The full-back did not let the trio of Lanzarote, Komal Thatal and Everton Santos create any havoc in the defensive half of Mumbai. The Indian international seems to be getting better with every passing game and looks irreplaceable in this Mumbai backline.

Anwar Ali- 5.5

Anwar Ali made his Mumbai City debut in the game and had an average outing. The veteran defender committed three fouls, for one of which he got into the referee's book. He was often seen out of his position leaving space in the middle of the defence for the visitors’ forwards to exploit. The former Mumbai FC defender was later replaced by Pranjal Bhumij.

Sehnaj Singh- 4.5

The midfielder was a tad bit lost against ATK. Singh, who has been a revelation this season had only seven touches throughout the game. The midfielder finished with just four passes and committed three fouls.

Joyner Lourenco- 5.5

Joyner was tried in a new position by the Mumbai coach and he did not disappoint. He was defensively sound and kept the duo of Balwant Singh and Everton Santos at bay. However, the defender contributed very little while going forward. For a team not sure about its backline, Joyner is no less than a blessing.

Substitutions

Pranjal Bhumij – 4.5

The young forward was brought in to bring strength and pace to the attack, but was restricted to defensive duties by the away side. Pranjal Bhumij would be rueing the missed opportunity, as playing minutes have been hard to come by for the youngster after the stunning goal away against Kerala Blasters.

Raynier Fernandes – 5.0

The Mumbai lad was brought to bring creativity to the midfield and displayed good attacking football. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to help the home side break the deadlock.

ATK

Arindam Bhattacharya- 6.5

Arindam Bhattacharya had a great outing against his former team. The save in the dying minutes of the game to deny Mumbai the winner was a statement in itself, a statement that declared that he was too good to be benched. The ATK goalkeeper would be relieved by the way he performed.

Ankit Mukherjee- 5.0

The former Mohammedan defender had a nervy outing against the likes of Rafael Bastos and Paulo Machado. Playing in a team like ATK with some of the biggest names in Indian football, Ankit was bound to be nervous. But, the right-back should not have let the nerves get the better of him.

Getting caught out of position, giving acres of space for the opponents and failing to cover for his centre-back, meant Modou Sougou could make as many runs as he wanted into the ATK box.

Ricky Lallawmawma- 6.0

The ATK left-back wasn’t at his usual best creatively and didn’t create many chances for his side. However, he kept a check on Arnold Issoko's runs and did not let his famous pace create any problems for the visitors. It was a relatively good game for the defender.

Pronay Halder- 5.5

Pronay was kept quiet by Milan Singh and was overshadowed by the later. The Indian international midfielder made five tackles and had 57% passing accuracy. The star ATK midfielder needs to up his game if the Kolkata side want to reach the playoffs.

Komal Thatal- 4.5

Komal Thatal was not involved very much in the game and had only six touches. Tight marking from former Bengaluru full-back Subhasish meant Thatal struggled for space in the opposition half.

Balwant Singh- 5.0

Balwant Singh was playing against the side he played for in the previous season, much like Arindam. But, the attacker did not do anything special to remember the game, unlike his goalkeeper. Balwant was kept in check by Lorenco.

Substitutions

Jayesh Rane – 5.0

Jayesh Rane replace Thatal in the second half. But, the substitution did not have a huge impact in the gameplay of the visitors as they failed to score. Jayesh ended with a passing accuracy of 50%.
