Both sides came close to scoring but were denied by the custodians on either end.

Jamshedpur FC and Bengaluru FC locked horns in a high-octane Indian Super League match-up which saw the spoils being shared following a goalless draw. The Indian players on both sides played their parts well and performed their duties brilliantly.

The goalkeepers on both ends were particularly impressive and were the sole reason for the lack of goals at The Furnace, which otherwise had all the action fit for a remarkable game. Both the tacticians in Antonio Iriondo and Carles Cuadrat would be ruing the missed chances but will take the positives from the stalemate to build towards the forthcoming games.

Jamshedpur FC

Subrata Paul (GK)- 8.5

Subrata Paul was arguably one of the best players on the pitch against Bengaluru FC

Subrata Paul was arguably the best player on the pitch, as he single-handedly stopped the Bengaluru FC attackers from finding the back of the nets. The veteran goalkeeper commanded his area well, made himself big in one-on-one situations and dealt with aerial balls without any error. The leading figure in the league's all time clean-sheet charts notched up his 25th after making nine crucial saves on Sunday night.

Watch: Jamshedpur FC Vs Bengaluru FC full highlights

Robin Gurung - 6.5

Robin Gurung was a solid operator on the right-back position for Jamshedpur FC, as he covered spaces behind him with ease, tracked marauding Ashique Kuruniyan's threat well and also dealt with Sunil Chhetri in the wing. His understanding with Memo and Tiri was notable as well. A solid overall display defensively.

Bikash Jairu - 5

Making a comeback in the starting XI after serving a one match suspension, Bikash Jairu looked shaky on the ball at times and scoffed his lines in the attacking third. He also found it tough to deal with Udanta Singh’s speed and was saved by the inaccurate delivery on the former’s part.

Mobashir Rahman - 6.0

Mobashir Rahman took his place on the left side of the midfield and was decent in his quick passing gameplay. He showed good chemistry with players like Aitor Monroy and Piti, and needs more playing time to make a better impression. He was replaced by Sumeet Passi in later stages of the game.

Aniket Jadhav - 6.5

The 19-year-old put in an energetic performance in the right-flank and threatened Ashique several times in the first-half. However, in a surprising move by the Jamshedpur FC boss, he was substituted at the break for Issac.

Farukh Choudhary - 6.5

Although Farukh Choudhary could not replicate his goalscoring performance from previous fixture, he came very close to opening the scoring from close-range after his sensational overhead kick attempt from a corner was saved by Sandhu. He was also tracking back constantly to provide support to the defenders and impressed the Antonio Iriondo with his endurance.

Substitutions

Issac Vanmalsawma - 5.5

Brought on after the break for Aniket Jadhav, Issac had plenty of opportunities from the left-flank but could not find that perfect cross and looked like lacking confidence and short on ideas when on the ball.

Sumeet Passi - 5.0

The forward was brought on by the tactician to find a breakthrough but was unable to do so due to the lack of opportunities coming his way.

Bengaluru FC

Gurpreet Singh Sandhu (GK)- 7.0

Gurpreet Singh Sandhu was particularly busier in the second-half and had to make a couple of sensational saves to keep his side on level terms, especially the overhead kick attempt from Farukh Choudhary. A deserved clean-sheet on the night for the Indian international goalkeeper.

Rahul Bheke - 6.5

Rahul Bheke was one of the better players against Jamshedpur FC

Rahul Bheke started the game as a right-back, but owing to Albert Serran’s injury, he had to shift back to the center-back role. The shift in position did not affect his performance on Sunday night as Bheke looked comfortable on the ball and was vigilant in his defensive duties.

Nishu Kumar - 5.5

In an otherwise simplistic performance, Nishu Kumar’s performance caught the eyes of many, but the full-back must improve on his end product. He showed the capability of playing both as a left-back and right-back in the course of the game.

Harmanjot Singh Khabra - 6.5

The workhorse in the middle of the park found himself at both fronts, whether it was on the defensive or attacking. He also had a great chance to open the scoring in the first-half but was undone by Subrata Paul’s instinctive save from point-blank range.

Udanta Singh - 5.0

A player of Udanta Singh’s calibre must be doing a lot better to influence the game from the right-flank. His speed and movement troubled Bikash Jairu on the opposing side, but the lack of quality from the winger led to several chances go begging. Carles Cuadrat looked particularly frustrated by his only goal scorer of the season yet.

Sunil Chhetri - 6.0

Sunil Chhetri’s form is perfectly symbolic of the kind of patch the Blues are going through. Lots of promise in the game, but just could not find that perfect ball or opportunity to get on the scoresheet. A long-range effort comfortably saved by Subrata in the first-half was the sole highlight, as the skipper could not get on the ball enough to influence the proceedings.

Substitutions

Ashique Kuruniyan - 6.5

Ashique Kuruniyan had a lot of pressure coming on to the pitch as an early substitute in the first 45 minutes. Again playing in his new left-back role, the winger was defensively astute and looked dangerous when hitting his stride on the counter. Made a good case for a starting place for the upcoming game.

Suresh Singh - 5.5

The young midfielder took his place in the midfield but could not influence the game as he might have hoped. Nevertheless, the few minutes under his belt would do his confidence a world of good.

Kean Lewis - N/A

Came on too late to impact the game.
