Indian Super League set to feature in EA Sports' FIFA 22
The Indian top-flight will also be available on the highly-coveted console and PC versions of the game.
Leading game developers EA Sports have released a statement confirming the inclusion of Indian Super League (ISL) to FIFA 22 console and PC versions, as exclusively reported by Khel Now earlier. The Indian Super League organisers also confirmed the news in a statement on September 11.
All the eleven ISL participating clubs, with their kits and other associated marks will feature in the latest edition of the sports video game franchise. The induction to FIFA 22 comes after ISL’s successful run-on FIFA Mobile in 2019, an initiative carried as part of Football Sports Development Limited’s license with EA SPORTS.
Khel Now can also claim to track the story for a long period of time - since EA's decision to add ISL first to FIFA Mobile and now to the console edition.
In 2019, the Indian Super League made its debut in the mobile version of the game. EA Sports have taken the decision to add the ISL into the console and PC editions after monitoring its success in the mobile version. The inclusion of the ISL in FIFA 22 will help the league make its presence felt globally.

This comes in as a great news for the Indian esports fraternity, who will now be able to compete in the game with their national heroes. The FIFA 22 will include 11 Indian Super League clubs — Northeast United, Kerala Blasters, Mumbai City FC, Hyderabad FC, FC Goa, ATK Mohun Bagan, SC East Bengal, Chennaiyin FC, Odisha FC, Jamshedpur FC and Bengaluru FC.
“We are excited and proud to see India’s premier football league, Indian Super League is set to debut in FIFA 22. The FIFA gaming platform opens unique opportunities for a young league like ISL and its 11 clubs to cater to the fast-growing fan base globally. The digital ISL experience will be a big innovation for the league this season onwards," said an ISL spokesperson after the official announcement.
The Indian football team started featuring in the game regularly since FIFA 13. However, this would be the first-time when an Indian league will be part of game’s highly-rated console and PC versions. All ISL clubs were told to submit their jersey designs to the organizers earlier compared to the previous season as they had to be submitted to EA Sports.

The latest version of the game will feature 17,000+ players across 700+ teams in 100+ stadiums and over 30 leagues. The developers released the trailer of FIFA 22, with French superstar Kylian Mbappe donning on the poster earlier in July 2021.
The game has undergone massive changes in comparison to the earlier editions and EA Sports have also confirmed to have developed composed ball control, player humanization, true ball physics and have also brought in 4000+ new animations among others.
