The striker scored in his first-ever start for Jamshedpur.
Jamshedpur FC moved up to the second spot again after a hard-fought win. The players gave everything on the pitch and showed character after the harsh last two weeks. New signing Daniel Chima scored the winner on his debut and now Owen Coyle's are just one point shy of table-toppers Hyderabad FC, with a game in hand.
Jamshedpur FC manager Owen Coyle was happy to get the three points in the post-match press conference. Here are the excerpts from it.
On Daniel Chima
The football pundits were doubting whether Chima will be a good replacement for Nerijus Valskis, considering his short tenure with SC East Bengal. On this the coach stated, "Well, I don't know who the doubters are. Chima is a wonderful player, always has been. If you doubt him because he scored only two goals for East Bengal, I think you've got to look at the games. One doesn't have to score goals (only) to contribute to a team and that's what Daniel Chima does. He has the quality. The fact he scored the match-winning goal takes him to another level."

"Chima is a champion, three times champion in Norway, at a very high level. He is a very good player and a good man. He has been very humble since he came into the group and his work-rate, goal and performance tonight was outstanding. So, for me, well done Chima," the coach continued.
On taking only one shot on target and overall performance
Jamshedpur FC had only one shot on target, which is surprising considering the chances they had. On this the tactician opined, "I don't think a lot about those stats. I know that we had numerous opportunities, 2v1, 3v1 at different times. We scored a goal and have the clean-sheet, another thing which is important.
"FC Goa had some chances, but there is no doubt given the circumstances, we were fully deserving. We were tough defensively and we needed to have a little bit composure with the final pass. That is understandable because the boys haven't trained for 17 days, but the spirit, the desire and the will to win speaks for us."

On team's win after not being able to train for 17 days
"I think it tells everything about the team's character. All the boys were together in this. We made 1-2 changes in the January window, that's helping strengthen us. We've shown the spirit and desire to win the football game and it's again valuable three points.
"Still a lot of games to go, a lot of football to be played. But, what we have seen tonight given the circumstances as you mentioned, no training, stuck in a room, wow everyone needs to credit himself. Not only the boys on the field, but all the boys who are back in the hotel."
The coach signed off by praising his goalkeeping department. He always knew the quality of TP Rehnesh and just wanted him to believe himself to perform.
