Each of the three players has penned multi-year contracts.
ATK Mohun Bagan have renewed the contracts of Liston Colaco, Manvir Singh, and Deepak Tangri. While Colaco and Manvir have signed new five-year deals keeping them at the club until 2027, Tangri has penned a four-year extension. The club announced the extensions in a release on Saturday.
"I have been impressed with the facilities at the club. Last season we missed the trophy by a whisker despite playing well. We are eyeing the title this season. The club have bolstered the squad with some fine additions. And everyone is ready to give their absolute hundred percent," Colaco said after putting pen to paper.
Manvir and Deepak Tangri also echoed the same sentiments. "We want to start the ISL season with a win," said Manvir. ATK Mohun Bagan begin their campaign on October 10 at home against Chennaiyin FC.
Signed from Hyderabad FC for a record transfer fee, Liston Colaco took the league by storm last season with eight goals and five assists in 22 matches. He was the highest Indian scorer by a mile in the league. Colaco has carried into this summer as well. The 23-year-old wide forward scored four times and assisted twice in four games at the AFC Cup.
Similarly, Manvir Singh had a decent campaign last season with six goals and one assist in the ISL in 22 matches. Since joining the Mariners from FC Goa in 2020, Manvir has played in multiple roles and has often excelled. His 15 goals and seven assists in 59 matches for the Mariners are a testament to that. Now playing as one of Juan Ferrando's strikers, Manvir will want to find the net more often this season.
Young Deepak Tangri has been given a four-year extension having impressed coach Ferrando in the limited time that he has played. Despite only being 23, the former Mohun Bagan academy star has become a trusted player for Ferrando's ATKMB. He can slot in at the back and also play a defensive midfielder in a double pivot. Tangri's versatility makes him a vital cog in Ferrando's side.
Meanwhile, the ATK Mohun Bagan players are currently on a three-day break after a three-week pre-season training. They will return to training on October 8 ahead of their season opener against Chennaiyin FC two days later.
