The Morocco national football team are taking on the Canada national football team for their round of 16 clash at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The clash is taking place at the Houston Stadium in the USA.

The Jesse Marsch-led side have kicked things off on an aggressive note. Even though they have lacked possession of the ball, they have come up with three chances in under 25 minutes. Two of the shots were on target and the Moroccan defence has been on edge.

Mohamed Ouahbi’s men are finding it difficult to battle against the Canadian squad. Their first attempt on the goal came after the hydration break in the first half. The Morocco national football team consists of quality players and this is surely going to give them a slight advantage.

There can be upsetting news for the Atlas Lions as their centre-forward is forced off the field.

Mohamed Ouahbi did not take much time and subbed off the forward during the 22nd minute. It can be heartbreaking for any player to leave the field for his side during such an important encounter.

It looks like a hamstring injury and other updates are yet to be confirmed. Saibari has scored three goals in the ongoing World Cup campaign for Morocco. He has played for his side both as a forward and an attacking midfielder.
