Jhon Arias was born on September 21, 1997, in Quibdó, Colombia. Displaying exceptional technical ability from a young age, he moved through South American youth teams. He has featured for the youth academies of Dorados, Tijuana and Patriotas, with each club playing a huge role in his development.

Arias ultimately chose to start his career in Colombia. He made his senior international debut for Colombia in 2022 and has been a crucial player for Los Cafeteros since. His exceptional creative vision, precise crossing, and fluid movement on the wings have been very useful for his side.

Arias is currently representing the Colombia national football team at the FIFA World Cup 2026. He has been instrumental in the attack for his side, playing a massive role in the nation’s dominant run in their newest edition

The 28-year-old scored his most crucial knockout goal for Colombia against Ghana, finishing a clinical shot at the back post to open the scoreline.

In his club career, he started by featuring for Colombian sides Patriotas, Llaneros, América de Cali, and Santa Fe. In 2021, he signed with Brazilian giants Fluminense.
