Jesus has opened the door for Ronaldo to return to the national team.
Jorge Jesus has maintained his position in calling Cristiano Ronaldo back to the Portugal national team, reiterating that it is up to the veteran forward if he wants to join the squad for the next international break.
Portuguese manager Jesus has reminded Ronaldo that it is up to him to determine his future with the national team. Ronaldo, 41, left the Portugal camp this week following a disagreement with Jesus, who promised the attacker he’d come on as a substitute in their 2-1 win against Norway.
Instead, Ronaldo sat out the whole game and stormed down the tunnel at the end. Following a meeting with the head of the Portuguese football federation a few days later, the Al-Nassr hero departed the national team camp aboard a private plane.

“Cristiano Ronaldo will be called up for the next international break, if he wants to return. It’s his decision. I am ready to call him if he will play with Al Nassr”.
Portugal’s next game comes at home against Denmark on November 14 before travelling to Wales three days later. Ronaldo’s teammates will be eager to see if the veteran forward comes back to the national team setup.
In a social media post, Ronaldo promised to ‘give the truth to all the Portuguese people’ about why he left the national team. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is scheduled to return to play when Al-Nassr defend their championship against Al-Diriyah in the Saudi Pro League on Friday night.
