I know exactly what I don’t want- Jose Mourinho on return to football
The Portugues gaffer opens up about his future endeavours and his past in Italian football with Inter.
The 56-year-old talked about his time at Inter Milan and expressed his treble-winning season as one of the highlights of his career. Jose Mourinho managed the I Nerazzuri in the Serie A from 2008 till 2010 and it was in his last season where the club lifted the Scudetto, Champions League and Coppa Italia.
Speaking to beIN Sports France, the tactician said, “Inter hadn’t won the Champions League in almost 50 years. There was an entire generation of Interisti who had that dream”. He further added that, “At the same time, the President (Massimo Moratti) was the son of the last President who won the Cup. So the Moratti family had this dream too.”
He concluded by saying that, “There was a generation of players who had won several titles in Italy and dreamed of winning the Champions League. It was a really strong squad, but also a real family. We all had this dream and fought hard to make it happen. At the end of the day, I think the Treble was what that family deserved. It was fantastic.”
Jose Mourinho also referred to the reports that had suggested a potential return to Inter Milan to bring back the glory days for the fans and end the domestic domination of Juventus FC. The rumours became more intense after Zinedine Zidane joined Real Madrid.

Speaking in that context, Jose said, “It’s been three-and-a-half months since I last managed a club and I am preparing to do it again. When you are in the world of football, between press conferences, games, video sessions, match analysis and daily problems, you never have time for yourself. I have therefore used the last few months to reboot.”

I don’t mean the name of the club, but the type of work, the style of club. I know what I want and I hope to get it,” the Portuguese concluded.
It is clear that Jose Mourinho has recharged his batteries and is raring to go come the next season. An interesting turn of events are in store for the world of football which awaits where the former FC Porto, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester United manager ends up.
