Juventus FC are all set to lock horns with Stade Rennais for their third league phase fixture of the UEFA Europa League 2026-27 campaign. This will be an entertaining clash to witness, which is scheduled to take place at the Allianz Stadium.
The Old Lady continue to come up with inconsistent performances and this is only going to make things tough for them moving forward. After their 2-1 victory against Celta Vigo in their last UEL game, they faced a 0-3 loss at the hands of Lazio in the Serie A. This is surely going to affect their confidence levels.
Luciano Spalletti’s men will be at home for their upcoming European competition outing, but it is not going to be an easy one for them. Juventus have not been very sharp in their defensive performances and they need a big strategy change in the final third. However, they have won both of their first two games in the competition so far and will be looking to secure a third one.
On the other hand, the Franck Haise-led side are also not doing very well. Their opening game of the UEFA Europa League this season ended in a draw, but they made a comeback to secure three points in their second one. Rennes have also lacked consistency, making the upcoming fixture a tough challenge for them.
Being away from home is not going to make things easier for Stade Rennais, but taking early control of the game will be a massive advantage for them.
Players to Watch
Nick Woltemade (Juventus)
In the previous Europa League outing for Juventus, Nick Woltemade scored the opening goal for Juventus and played an important role in the attacking front. He created the most chances (7) and took the most shots (4). The 24-year-old kept the opponent’s defence on edge. He will be looking to come up with another top performance to help the Serie A side.
Sebastian Szymański (Rennes)
The 27-year-old will be one of the main men in the squad for Stade Rennais. He can control the midfield well and is also capable of helping his side in the attacking front. Sebastian Szymański created the most chances (4) for Rennes in their last European competition outing and will be looking to do so once again.
