Brazil to face Japan, Singapore after India in Kallang Football Series in November
Carlo Ancelotti’s side will face only AFC teams in the remaining games of 2026.
The most successful side in the history of the FIFA World Cup, Brazil, will be heading to Asia for the remainder of their international games in 2026. The South American giants will be up against Australia and India in the FIFA International window in September and October 2026 before flying to Singapore.
After failing to qualify for the FIFA World Cup semi-finals in the last three editions, the South American giants are in a transitional phase. Ever since the advent of the UEFA Nations League, playing friendlies against top European nations have been rare and Asian teams offer a different test of technical abilities.
Brazil is more than just a football team; it is also a global entertainment brand, and returning to Southeast Asia caters to a massive, passionate fanbase, reinforcing their commercial presence.
The Selecao is set to ply their trade in the inaugural edition of the Kallang Football Series, set to be played at Singapore’s national stadium. This tournament will feature four teams, including three World Cup-playing nations, Brazil, Paraguay and Japan, alongside hosts Singapore.

The inaugural edition of the Kallang Football Series in Singapore will feature four matches. All three teams in the tournament who were part of the FIFA World Cup 2026 made it to the knockout round of the tournament.
Five-time world champions topped Group C, while Paraguay shocked the world by knocking out four-time world champions Germany in the Round of 32. Japan were knocked out by Brazil, who later got eliminated by Erling Haaland’s Norway in the Round of 16.
The tournament will commence with hosts Singapore facing Paraguay on November 13, before the classic Round of 32 rematch between Japan and Brazil on 14 November.
The land of the rising sun would eye revenge against Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil, who scripted a massive comeback win in the dying seconds of the game.
Is Brazil entering another rebuilding cycle ahead of 2030?

Brazil had a star-studded squad in the FIFA World Cup 2026, including the likes of Vinicius Junior, Neymar, and Marquinhos, led by an experienced gaffer, Carlo Ancelotti, who won the UEFA Champions League as a manager for a record five times.
The Selecao are producing attackers faster than midfielders. For years, their identity has been more about technical superiority, individual creativity and attacking fullbacks. However, the game has changed a lot and also requires defensive structure, transitions and pressing.
The upcoming friendlies against relatively lower-ranked Asian teams like Singapore and India offer that room for experimentation and test young players to integrate them seamlessly into the senior team.
Top talents like Estevao and Andrey Santos of Chelsea FC, Real Madrid’s Endrick and Vitor Roque of Palmeiras have impressed for their domestic clubs and will be keen to don the national team jersey and go all guns blazing against Asian teams.
