Costa is extraordinary and very important for us– Diego Simeone
The 48-year-old is not worried by the Spanish frontman's current drought.
Atletico Madrid's boss Diego Simeone believes that Diego Costa will surely score a lot of goals in upcoming games. Since his return to LaLiga, the striker has netted three goals, out of which one was against Monaco in Champions League game and a brace against rivals Real Madrid in Super Cup final. Costa has failed to find the net in all the eight games he has played for Atletico in La Liga.
In the post-match press conference after Atletico's 2-0 win over Real Sociedad on Saturday, Deigo Simeone discussed the importance of Costa in his side. The 48-year-old was not much concerned about Costa's goal drought and believes that the striker will find his form very soon.
"Of course, he is working so that the goals return, He is extraordinary and very important for us, for all the things he does in the dressing room. If you play like he did [against Sociedad], you are very close to scoring. It is the way," said El Cholo.

"At first [Lucas] started to feel a little pain, we knew that if he started feeling more, we would stop before there was anything worse, He has an extraordinary present and future and has Godin and Filipe that will not let him rest. They do not stop fighting. It is the strength of the team in recent years.", said Simeone
