The most-capped Spanish player spoke during the premiere of his personal docuseries in London.

Real Madrid's inspirational skipper Sergio Ramos says the 'door' is always open at the Bernabeu for players of Paul Pogba's calibre.

The French World-cup winner tried to force a move to the Spanish capital but a move never materialized. Speaking to reporters during the event, the talismanic defender was all praise of the Manchester United player and expressed delight at the prospect of teaming up with the midfielder in the future.

"For me, Pogba is one of the great players, I think Real Madrid always has the door open for good players such as him," said Ramos to Daily Express.

Pogba was the only missing part in Zidane's wishlist this summer with the club having spent exorbitant amounts to get in talented players like Eden Hazard, Ferland Mendy, and Luka Jovic among others.

But Ramos sees Pogba as a player who has the ability to take the team to the next level claiming, "I think he brings balance to a team. He has a great offensive influence and he has this amazing physique."

When questioned about controversies surrounding his nature of defending especially in the incident against Mohammed Salah in the Champions League final in 2017-18, Ramos was quick to attribute it to his fierce competitiveness although refraining from intending to cause the other player harm.

"When you have to go against a nice forward player or striker you have this nice duel and of course inside the right context where you don’t want to harm anyone, and with the right intention and the right heart" were the words of the 2010 World Cup winner with Spain

Ramos added, "It is a game, you go to win and try to defend yourself but always inside you have respect."
