Messi went on to win his first and only FIFA World Cup title in 2022 after La Albiceleste took down France in what was an electrifying contest. The teams ended the fixture on a 3-3 draw after extra time. La Albiceleste won the fixture 4-2 on penalties.
The 39-year-old is now going to battle it out in his second consecutive final. The forward scored a brace last time around, and against Spain, he will be looking to come up with another magical performance.
