List of players who have won multiple FIFA World Cup trophies

21 players and counting have won two or more World Cup trophies.
The FIFA World Cup is the biggest sporting event in the world, with the quadrennial tournament having been graced by superstars from all over the world in its 96-year history.
Legends of the game such as Pele and Diego Maradona lit up the competition with their skills, and Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe are carrying on that tradition in the expanded 48-team FIFA World Cup 2026 in North America.
The iconic World Cup trophy is the most coveted one in world football. In 2018, Lionel Messi famously said that he would swap the title he won with Barcelona for a World Cup triumph with Argentina. His wish was fulfilled in 2022, when La Albiceleste beat France in the final.
While most players would count themselves lucky to win the World Cup once, Messi can become one of the few players to have won the trophy twice. In fact, only 21 players have achieved this feat before. Interestingly, Brazil legend Pele is the only player in history to win the World Cup title three times.
