The Spain vs Argentina FIFA World Cup 2026 final will take place on Sunday night.

After 104 matches and 39 days of footballing extravaganza, the FIFA World Cup 2026 is coming to its conclusion, with Spain set to face defending champions Argentina in the final on July 19.

The final, which will be hosted at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, will be a fixture like no other. The half-time show, which is being organised for the quadrennial tournament for the first time, will feature some of the biggest artists in the world.

Pop stars Shakira, Madonna, and Justin Bieber are reportedly set to perform, along with K-pop sensation BTS. Jennifer Hudson, Nicole Scherzinger, and Robbie Williams are also set to perform, while Hollywood star Tom Cruise will make a special appearance.

There will be more star power on display, with several stars from football and other sports reportedly set to grace the occasion. Let’s see who will turn up in New Jersey on Sunday for the showpiece event.

Why Carlos Alcaraz will miss Wimbledon this year?

Two of the biggest names in tennis, Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic, have reportedly arrived in New York to attend the final. Alcaraz is currently recovering from an injury and will cheer for Spain, and he will be joined by fellow legend Djokovic.

Meanwhile, another Spanish tennis star, Rafael Nadal, shared a lengthy social media post in support of La Roja. However, there are no reports that he will be physically present in the stadium to watch the match.

Tom Brady, considered one of the greatest NFL players of all time, had earlier confirmed that he would be present at MetLife Stadium to watch the final along with American businessman Michael Rubin.

Zinedine Zidane, who has been widely tipped to become France’s next head coach, is another name reported to be in attendance on Sunday. Argentine legend Sergio Aguero has been tipped to be present, cheering for La Albiceleste. Former Argentina international and current Atletico Madrid manager, Diego Simeone, will also be in attendance.

Meanwhile, Xavi and Iker Casillas, members of La Roja’s World Cup-winning team in 2010, have been regular fixtures during the European side’s matches in the tournament. The pair will reportedly be in attendance for the final along with other members of that squad, including Iniesta, David Villa, Jesus Navas, Sergio Ramos, and Fernando Llorente.

Mundo Deportivo reported that the Royal Spanish Football Federation had invited every player who played in the World Cup qualifiers to attend the final. Alvaro Morata and Fermin Lopez are reportedly travelling to New York to support their teammates.

German legend Thomas Muller, who has covered the tournament as part of the expert panel for German broadcaster MagentaTV, will also reportedly be in the stands to watch the showpiece event. Another World Cup legend, Ronaldo Nazario, will also attend the match, as will former Poland international Robert Lewandowski.

Hollywood star Will Ferrell was also in the stands. Matt Damon, who recently starred in Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey”, was also pictured watching the match. Academy Award-nominated singer Pharrell Williams was there, as were Robbie Williams and Rolling Stones member Mick Jagger.

Three-time Gammy Award winner Dua Lipa was also pictured entering the MetLife Stadium. Singers A$AP Rocky and Rihanna were also shown on the video screens watching the match.

French NBA star Victor Wembanyama, who plies his trade for the San Antonio Spurs, was also in attendance, even though his home country saw their campaign come to an end on Saturday. Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk was also pictured in the stands.

When is Spain vs Argentina FIFA World Cup 2026 final?

The match will be played on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. In India, the match will kick off at 12:30 AM IST on July 20.
