FULLTIME: Despite dominating for most parts of the game, Chennaiyin have failed to win thanks to a lack of concentration in the final few minutes of the game. City may have failed to win the game, but they have somehow overcome the Chennaiyin hoodoo by avoiding a defeat. Chennaiyin are now level on points with fourth-placed NorthEast United, and the league has just become even more close, with only two points separating the top five sides 90+2'Jeje and Dudu have ample time to have a shot on target but fail to even have a shot. They seem to have wasted their final opportunity to restore the lead. 90' Goian earns a cornerkick, and Forlan's kick sails over everyone in front of the goal after suffering a minor deflection. 89' GOOOALLLLL!!! Costa Scored Stunner for Mumbai . Leo Costa hits the top right corner from outside the penalty area to nullify Chennaiyin's lead. Chennaiyin's lack of enthusiasm in the second half has seemingly cost them two valuable points. 86' 22280 fans have made their way to the stadium despite the game falling on a Wednesday night. 84' Wadoo makes a rare forward run and manages to make a sublime cross that City clear. The balls falls on to the feet of Augusto, who has yet another effort from outside the penalty area. He misses the target thanks to a minor deflection. 83' Khongjee needs medical attention after going down. 82' Khabra leaves the pitch after a toiling 80 minutes, and Blasi comes on to defend their slender one-goal lead. 80' Vadocz goes down a few yards in front of the penalty area, with Augusto giving away a freekick. Cunha's layoff only results in a goalkick as City hit the woodwork. Mendy takes the freekick that hardly troubles the City defense. Jeje finally breaks the City deadlock as he taps in from a Peluso corner. As things stand. Chennaiyin have amassed the most points in the division, alongside Atletico de Kolkata. 50' Peluso's freekick fails to find a blue shirt in the penalty area, but City's poor clearance means Hanghal has a shot on target. Gomes makes a save with much ease, though. 49' Jeje earns a freekick in a dangerous position, and Peluso steps up to take it. 46' Half-time substitution saw Thoi make way for Dudu. With Dudu and Peluso flanking Jeje, Chennaiyin shall fancy their chances of finding the net in the second half. With Chennaiyin dominating so far and Forlan looking obsolete, whether City will settle for a goalless draw on the road remains to be seen. However, failing to win will mean they have won just a single game in six outings. The second half is underway. HALF-TIME: It's been a lopsided affair so far, with Chennaiyin dominating; however, their inability to generate key passes has been an issue as they have had only a few shots on target despite boasting most of the ball. Jeje has looked futile so far; perhaps, bringing on Dudu may shake things up a little bit upfront. City look destined to lose.

45+1' One minute added 45' Norde goes down as Mendy gives away a freekick. Forlan takes the resulting setpiece,but Norde's header fails to find the target. 43' Chennaiyin continue to search for the opener, with City lacking the desire and heart required to find the rhythm. 40' Singh goes down for City after Hanghal's long-range effort fails to test Gomes but he gets right back up. 38' Forlan takes things into his own hands as he drops down to helphis teamin attack. His perfect forward ball finds Ralte near the corner flag, but the Indian fails to control it as he gives away a goalkick. 35' Chennaiyin's tightly-knit midfield has ensured limited supply to Forlan and Norde as either striker find themselves isolated, but Forlan makes the most out of his half chance as he shoots from distance. The effort does not trouble Kerr, though. 33' Forlan's freekick fails to trouble the Chennaiyin defense as the Blues spark a quick counter after retrieving possession. Peluso again shoots over the bar as he continues to dominate his side of the pitch. 32' Chennaiyin are enjoying too much time on the ball, especially in the midfield, but City's five-man defense has so far ensured they don't test Gomesa as often as they should. Perhaps, a targetman like Dudu or Succi in the penalty box may help. 31' Peluso has another shot but the effort sails miles over the post. 28' Peluso has picked up where he left off last game as his pace and Jerry's incisive passing torments Ali down the left wings. However, Chennaiyin, despite their dominance, seem impotent in front of the goal. 27' Augusto finds Thoi near the edge of the penalty area. Despite having just two men to beat, he tries to spray a pass to Peluso, but the pass goes out for a throw-in. 24' Chennaiyin have been the better side so far, with their passing, positioning, defending, and creativity giving them the edge. It shall not be too long before they put one past Gomes, by the looks of things. 22' Peluso takes the freekick Ali gave away. His curling effort is on target but Gomes punches it away.The resulting corner kick results in a goal kick as it sails over everyone in the 18-yard-box. 22' Ali earns a yellow card for handball . 21' Passing has not been City's strongest attribute today, with Singh misplacing yet another pass. Forlan stretches his arms outin dismay.

Jeje calls for a foul, but the referee grants a throw-in to the visitors. 15' Every touch from Mendy garners cheers from the home fans, who are still arriving. Although the start of the game saw only a very few seats filled, a decent number has gathered tonight. 13' Thoi has ample time to have a shot on goal but takes too much time only to invite a tackle from Gerson. Both players go down, but the referee shakes his head. 11' After a pitch invader cost Chennaiyin their manager Materazzi's presence in the technical area, the Marina Arena sees another pitch invader today, with the invader being a dog, who rushes off the pitch swiftly. 10' Chennaiyin hae enjoyed most of the ball so far, but shrewd defending from City and Chennaiyin's inability to make the killer pass seems to cost them. 7' Peluso dribbles past few white shirts down the left flank, but a poor touch from a nervous Jeje means Chennaiyin lose the ball. However, a poor decision from Gomes results in a corner kick that he parries away effortlessly. 5' Jerry has a shot on goal after receiving a pass from Khabra, but Gomes faces no difficulty as the effort loses most of its power after travelling 50 yards. 3' Forlan's poor header prompts a Chennaiyin counter, with Augusto making the interception. After a few slick passes, Jeje loses possession to Ralte down the right flank. 1' Jeje gets things going for Chennaiyin but chooses a rather conservatory way to do that as he passes to Mendy. Kick-off is delayed, with City's goalkeeper Gomes needing medical attention. He looks ready to guard City's goal, though. 6:54 pm First half is under way as the players emerge from the tunnel to a rather unconventional welcome from local musicians, who epitomize the culture of Tamil Nadu, Chenniayin's home. 6:50 pm The fans have come out in a relatively small number after a rather uninspiring draw with Blasters.
