Liverpool’s pre-season friendlies: Dates & kick-off times

Andoni Iraola will lead Liverpool FC in pre-season.
The Reds have confirmed that they will play an additional friendly against Como as part of their pre-season program.
The Reds are now in Chicago as they ramp up preparations for the 2026/27 season in the United States. Andoni Iraola is poised to take command of his new team for the first time this weekend.
The team faces Sunderland on Saturday in Nashville in the first of five planned friendlies this summer. An additional game against Como has been added to the schedule. It will be another opportunity to get some minutes into the legs of those joining the group later.
The Reds have already announced that they will play Cesc Fabregas’ team in a behind-closed-doors friendly at 12 noon (7 a.m. ET, 4 a.m. PT in the US).
The extra encounter is added to a calendar that will see Liverpool face Sunderland on Saturday, then Wrexham in New Jersey on July 29 and Leeds United in Chicago on August 2.
An additional friendly might be essential for Iraola. The coach has stated that he would be missing five first-team players for the trip to the United States due to their participation in the FIFA World Cup 2026.
The Reds endured a poor campaign last term. It led to the exit of coach Arne Slot and the arrival of Andoni Iraola, who will be keen to make big changes next season.
