Louis Tomlinson is supporting England in the semi-final.

England are currently squaring off against defending champions Argentina at the FIFA World Cup 2026 semifinal at the Atlanta Stadium in Georgia, USA. Both sides have been seen as the favourites to win the tournament since the start, and finally, they are facing each other at the grandest stage of global football.

Argentina have scored the most goals in the ongoing edition of the FIFA World Cup, 17. Out of all the goals scored by La Albiceleste, ten have been scored or assisted by Lionel Messi. Argentina’s last game, the quarterfinal clash against Switzerland, was the first in the tournament in which the Inter Miami captain did not score.

However, the game at the Atlanta Stadium started with both sides playing physical football. Thomas Tuchel and Lionel Scaloni, both managers, would want their sides to dominate possession. Thus, while attempting to take possession and create chances, the sides will also be prone to committing fouls.

Both sides have also made changes to their starting lineups, as it’s expected to be their biggest challenge of the 2026 World Cup. To witness the game in the live environment, multiple celebrities have also come to the Atlanta Stadium. Musicians Louis Tomlinson and Mick Jagger are a couple of them.

Former One Direction member and singer Louis Tomlinson was seen supporting the Three Lions from the stands, wearing the England shirt. Tomlinson’s girlfriend and TV personality Zara McDermott was seen talking to the former One Direction member.

English musician and songwriter Mick Jagger is also in attendance at the Atlanta Stadium for the semifinal clash between two of the biggest football names in the world.

However, the deadlock remains until the first hydration break, as both teams have failed to find the back of the net.

Nevertheless, the winner of the semifinal clash will face 2010 champions Spain in the summit clash of the FIFA World Cup 2026 at the New York New Jersey Stadium on Sunday, July 19. Spain defeated France 2-0 in the first semifinal.
