City will begin their new season without Pep Guardiola.

Manchester City are gearing up for a new season without Pep Guardiola at the helm. The iconic Catalan coach left the Etihad Stadium at the conclusion of the 2025-26 season.

Guardiola led the Cityzens to an EFL Cup and FA Cup double before departing at the end of May. His former assistant coach, Enzo Maresca, has now taken over.

The Italian is charged with knocking Arsenal off their Premier League throne. Manchester City look to avoid missing out on the title for the third consecutive season.

Man City already announced a claim of intent in the summer transfer window with the club-record £116 million signing of England international midfielder Elliot Anderson. More new faces are anticipated to come to the Etihad before the new season begins.

As many as 17 Manchester City players were playing for their respective nations at the FIFA World Cup 2026. Some of them are expected to skip the start of pre-season to take a well-deserved rest.

Those who were eliminated early in the competition are now resting. They may rejoin Maresca’s squad in time for the team’s first pre-season fixture versus Inter.

Manchester City will travel abroad again this summer. Below is all you need to know about their 2026-27 pre-season. Man City’s pre-season calendar has been set, with three fixtures scheduled for a summer trip to Asia.
