Manchester City vs Atletico Madrid: Full lineups confirmed for pre-season friendly

The previous outing between these clubs took place in 2023!

Led by Enzo Maresca, Manchester City will face LaLiga side Atletico Madrid in an intense club friendly ahead of the new season. The Seoul World Cup Stadium will witness this contest.

The Premier League side will be ready for their third pre-season game. Against Los Rojiblancos, it is going to be a tough contest for them. Many of the top stars, including Erling Haaland, Rodri, Rayan Cherki and others, are not going to be in action.

Omar Marmoush will lead the side in the final third, with Tijjani Reijnders and Mateo Kovačić playing important roles in the midfield.

Atletico Madrid will also miss out on a lot of their star players, including Julian Alvarez. He was part of Argentina in the FIFA World Cup 2026 final. Jan Oblak will be guarding the goal.

Robin Le Normand and David Hancko will be the main men in the defence. Koke will be the midfield engine, with Ademola Lookman leading the side on the attacking front.
