Led by Luis Enrique, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) went head-to-head against Michael Carrick’s Manchester United for a club friendly fixture ahead of the new season. These sides squared off at Ullevi Stadium in what was an entertaining outing.

The Parisians were quick to score the opening goal. They did it in just the first two minutes of the matchup. This came with a pile of pressure on the Premier League giants. The Red Devils did not back down and levelled the scoreline in the first half itself.

4. Matvéi Safónov continues to impress

The Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper is the one who should be given credit for a 1-1 draw against Manchester United. Matvéi Safónov came up with multiple sensational saves during the pre-season friendly and was surely the star for the Parisians.

5. Youngsters shine for PSG

The French giants took the lead early after the 18-year-old Ibrahim Mbaye fired the ball at the back of the net in the first two minutes. Dro Fernández, who is also 18 years of age, set up a perfect ball for Mbaye, who finished it with ease. Both of these players were quite impressive for PSG.

6. Youri Tielemans’ debut

The Belgian midfielder completely impressed on his unofficial debut for Manchester United. He came up with 22 touches and 21 accurate passes. It was an all-around performance by Youri Tielemans. With his arrival on the field, Paris Saint-Germain looked uncomfortable despite having Vitinha and Joao Neves in the midfield.
