Manchester United name squad for Wrexham pre-season friendly; £50m summer signing included

Manchester United did not select Benjamin Sesko for their squad for the pre-season friendly against Wrexham in Helsinki. Sesko has not participated in any outdoor or indoor exercise activities since he reported last Thursday.
Sesko’s absence might provide opportunities for young forwards Chidi Obi and Ethan Wheatley, although JJ Gabriel is not selected.
The 23-year-old is undergoing a specific regimen as he recovers from a shin injury that kept him out of United’s last three games last season.
United are taking precautions with Sesko and plan to ease him back into the lineup.
Andrey Santos might make his Manchester United debut on Saturday after being included in the travelling team for the club’s pre-season friendly against Wrexham in Helsinki.
Santos, 22, became Michael Carrick’s first official signing, joining from Chelsea on Monday in a move that may be valued up to £50 million ($67.2 million).
First-team core members include Harry Maguire, Bryan Mbeumo, Patrick Dorgu, Leny Yoro, Luke Shaw, Ayden Heaven, Mason Mount, and Joshua Zirkzee, as well as young players Harry Amass and Shea Lacey.
Jaydan Kamason will aim for a chance at right-back, while midfielders Jacob Devaney, Dan Gore, and Jim Thwaites have travelled alongside Tyler and Jack Fletcher.
Manchester United will begin their pre-season against Wrexham tomorrow as they get ready for the new season.
