Manchester United will be looking to pick up their first win since September 10, when they take on Serie A team Como in the UEFA Champions League 2026-27 league phase this evening.
20-time English champions United have taken just three points from their opening two matches in the continental tournament, leaving them 18th in the league stage table. Como, meanwhile, are 17th in the Champions League table, also on three points.
The Red Devils have struggled at the start of the campaign and are labouring to win games, and there is heavy pressure on head coach Michael Carrick.
There are some huge games coming up for Man United in the Champions League, with matchups against Roma, Sporting Lisbon, RB Leipzig, Bayern Munich and Villarreal. The league stage will finish at the end of January.

Man United will be without some key players against Como, as Manuel Ugarte (knee), Patrick Dorgu (hamstring), Leny Yoro (suspended) and Benjamin Sesko (shin) are set to miss the upcoming European clash, in addition to Ayden Heaven (illness), Kobbie Mainoo (unspecified), Lisandro Martinez (thigh), Marcus Rashford (hip) and Luke Shaw (unspecified).
Martinez was forced off at half-time in Sunday’s match against Leeds United owing to a thigh problem, and his absence has been a huge concern for the Red Devils, with Matthijs de Ligt or Harry Amass now set to start.
De Ligt has been out for over a year owing to a serious back ailment but might potentially be in line for a starting berth.
Bryan Mbeumo comes back through the middle, and Matheus Cunha might again come off the bench.
