Atletico Madrid have sealed an agreement with LaLiga side RCD Mallorca to acquire the services of young striker Marc Domenech. The 19-year-old attacker has joined Los Rojiblancos on loan with an option to buy, as earlier reported by Fabrizio Romano.
Domenech underwent a medical before being unveiled as an Atleti player. Considering his young age and relative inexperience at the top level, he is now a part of the Atletico B side in the initial days before probably being introduced to the senior squad.
Diego Simeone’s side have been extremely active in the transfer window ahead of the new season. Los Rojiblancos have added four first-team players.
Alejandro Grimaldo was signed from Bayer Leverkusen for €22 million. Sporting CP’s Morten Hjulmand joined for €40 million. Paris Saint-Germain’s Kang-In Lee and Tottenham Hotspur’s Cristian Romero also joined for €40 million each.
Domenech would be the fifth summer signing for the LaLiga giants. However, he would be seen as one for the future instead of one who could make an immediate impact.

Born in Llucmajor, Domenech began his career with RCD Mallorca’s youth academy and also played for their affiliate club, CD San Francisco. He was marked early on as a huge talent, so much so that Mallorca rejected an offer from FC Barcelona to sign Domenech.
The youngster, who primarily plays as a striker but can also play on the wings, became a regular in the Mallorca B side, scoring nine goals in 26 appearances. He made his debut in LaLiga in 2024 in a match against Sevilla. He finished his debut season with 10 top-flight appearances.
He made seven more appearances for Mallorca in the 2025-26 season, although he failed to score a goal. Los Bermellones loaned him to second-division AD Ceuta FC in January. The striker scored one goal in eight appearances.
So far, Domenech has not made any appearances for Spain’s youth sides. That can change if he makes an impression during his loan spell at Atletico.
