It is heartening to see a football club contribute to such a noble cause and Khel Now extends its best wishes to Mohammedan Sporting club.

Mohammedan Sporting Club has extended it supports to the West Bengal Cerebral Palsy Football Association, who is going to field a team in the 17th National Cerebral Palsy Disable Para Handicap 7-a-Side Football Tournament, which runs from next month.

The tournament organised by 7-a-Side Football Federation of India will be held at Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh from 5th to 7th September 2017.

The team will train at Mohammedan Sporting Club Ground under club’s AFC licensed coaches and the club would also provide kit and other fundamentals to the players.

In terms of social responsibility, Mohammedan Sporting Club’s view is clear and concise, football is not a sport for the elite. It is available for everyone, whatever their age, ability, race, faith or gender.

About Cerebral Palsy: “Cerebral” means brain-centred. “Palsy” signifies a lack of muscle control. Cerebral Palsy (CP) is defined as a health condition affecting movement, muscle tone, reflexes and posture, primarily due to a shortage of oxygen in parts of the brain for a certain period of time at birth or very young age.
