The Mariners will be looking for a win after defeat on Matchday 1...

Mohun Bagan host Bangladesh champions Abahani Limited Dhaka on Matchday 2 in a AFC Cup Group E clash at Rabindra Sarobar Stadium on Tuesday. The Kolkata giants will be looking to get their first win on the board in the continental competition.

Both teams come into the game on the back of defeats in their first outings in the competition. The Mariners lost to national rivals Bengaluru FC while the Bangladeshi outfit were trounced by Maziya S&RC.

Team News Mohun Bagan will be hopeful that star striker Jeje Lalpekhlua can make it for the match after he only played six minutes as a late substitute in the dominant victory over Bengaluru at the weekend. However, Bagan will miss the services of Pronoy Halder and will also rest Anas Edathodika who played really well at the weekend. Defender Pritam Kotal will also not feature in the game.

Abahani Limited Dhaka will play with a relatively new, hollow team after five of their players were sold to Saif Sporting Club and they are also missing two of their foreigners in Lee Tuck and Sunday Chizoba as the Bangladeshi side will look to outwit the Indian giants.. Head To Head

This is the first ever meeting between the two teams. Coaches Corner Sanjoy Sen-Mohun Bagan: "We are playing for three points. Yes there will be two three changes but the players are motivated to do well," said Mohun Bagan coach Sanjoy Sen when asked about how he plans on shaping up his team for the match. He also added: "Sony might not know all the players because it was three seasons ago when he played there. But I will definitely talk to him once we get to know their squad list," when asked about how he plans to unleash Sony Norde(who used to play in the B-League some years ago) against the opponents. Drago Mamic-Abahani Limited Dhaka: Abahani Limited Dhaka coach Drago Mamic is optimistic of getting full points on the board against Bagan, as he said: “We beat Mohun Bagan 2-1 in the IFA Shield final here in 2011. But we can’t live in the past,”. Also speaking on the defeat to Maziya in the first round, he added: "We lost the first game but it was one where we had 70% possession. But that’s how football is sometimes and that is why it is the most interesting game in the world. I hope you all agree because I know that in India there is a lot of interest in cricket, like it is in Bangladesh.” Man To Watch Sony Norde-Mohun Bagan FC: The tricky Haitian winger wrecked havoc on Saturday when he tore through the Bengaluru FC defense and provided two assists on the night to help his club close in on leaders Aizawl FC. Norde has the experience of playing his Bangladeshi opponents in Abahani Limited Dhaka as he had played them when he used to play in the B-League before moving to Mohun Bagan. The winger will hope to use his experience against them to the advantage of his team and rattle the Bangladeshi opponents with his skills and pace which can be decisive for Bagan on the day. Jonathan Brown-Abahani Limited Dhaka: Jonathan Brown is one of the team’s most experienced players as the Welsh midfielder had played all over Britain before he entered Asian football and will be decisive for Dhaka to get something out of the game. Brown has a superb eye for goal and can help Dhaka keep some composure in the field, as he'll look to impress for his new club by helping them contain this dangerous Mohun Bagan side and attain some much-needed points for his team to have hopes of progressing beyond the group stages of the AFC Cup. Probable Lineups Mohun Bagan:  Majumder, P. Das, Ferreira, Balmuchu, Gaikwad, Chakraborty, Katsumi, Singh, Duffy, Jeje, Norde. Abahani Limited Dhaka: Sohel, Hasan, Samad, Khan, Faisal, Miya, Miah, Brown, Rana, Onuoha, Mahmud. Broadcast This match will not be on TV in India.
