10. Romelu Lukaku

The renowned Belgian forward is the 10th most expensive transfer in the history of the English Premier League. Romelu Lukaku has played for numerous clubs in his career. He became the talk of the town after he moved from Serie A giants Inter Milan to Chelsea during the peak of his career in 2021.

The Blues signed him for a fee of £97.5M.

9. Sandro Tonali

Tottenham Hotspur have now locked in a mega deal to sign the 26-year-old defensive midfielder. In the summer of 2026, Newcastle United were offered £100 million for Sandro Tonali, and the deal was accepted. This transfer has now joined the list of the most expensive transfers in Premier League history.

8. Jack Grealish

After his exceptional performances for Aston Villa, Manchester City signed Jack Grealish in 2021 on a six-year deal. The Cityzens spent £100M on the English winger. He won a good number of trophies with Man City.

But then moved to Everton on a loan deal in search of playing time during the 2025-26 season.

5. Moises Caicedo

Moises Caicedo has been a crucial asset for Chelsea since signing for them in 2023. The Blues signed the midfielder from Brighton & Hove Albion in what was a £115M deal. His contract with Chelsea runs till June 2033.

Caicedo’s role in the squad has been quite noticeable, but he is yet to justify his price tag.

The German midfielder cost Liverpool a whopping £116 million. He was signed after looking at his performances with Bayer Leverkusen. However, his debut season in the Premier League was a flop show.

Manchester City have now signed their most expensive player ever. Elliot Anderson will now join the club from Nottingham Forest in a five-year deal for £117 million. His transfer is a bank-breaking transfer of the summer 2026 transfer window.

2. Morgan Rogers

Chelsea once again came up with an intention of grabbing a mega deal. They were successful in doing so ahead of the 2026-27 season. They have signed Morgan Rogers for a record-breaking transfer fee of £117 million from Aston Villa until June 2033.

He is now the most expensive British footballer in history alongside Elliot Anderson. Rogers is all set to play under Xabi Alonso.

Alexander Isak still sits at the top as the most expensive player in the history of the English Premier League. Liverpool signed the Swedish star from Newcastle United in 2025 for a price of £125M in a six-year deal. He dealt with multiple injuries during his debut season with the Reds and underperformed.

Isak is yet to justify his price tag. He will be looking to shut down critics in the upcoming season.
