New manager Jaissle has confirmed that Newcastle United are set to be without plenty of players when they host Hull City in their fifth game of the season.
“No real update on Anthony (Elanga). I’ve spoken with him now, he is heading for an MRI scan. We will get more clarity after that, and hope it’s not too serious.”
Elanga is scheduled to have a scan after suffering an injury. Jaissle admits the club are still unsure of the full scope of the situation. The coach said no injured players will return for Hull’s visit, and Dedic and Ramsey will also be out.
The Newcastle United manager is hoping the international break will give his injured players enough time to heal.
“We have no new players coming back for the Hull game. We have some injured players missing, but we use that as an opportunity for others. Anthony and Amar will not be able to play on Saturday. JJ is injured.”
Gonzalez picked up a head injury in the loss to Leeds. Joelinton, William Osula, and Dan Burn are all anticipated to be sidelined until after the international break.
