Forest will host Leeds in an EFL Cup clash.
Morgan Gibbs-White will not play for Nottingham Forest against Leeds United in the Carabao Cup tonight, according to manager Oliver Glasner.
Only a few days after defeating Forest in their first Premier League game of the season, Leeds will travel to the City Ground for the second-round meeting.
However, Forest’s attempt to exact revenge and secure their first competitive victory under Glasner has been severely damaged.

Gibbs-White will miss the game because of knee problems, Glasner disclosed prior to the game.
“He got the ball and twisted his ankle, so the MCL was a little bit overstretched, and he has some pain in his knee. There is no structural damage, but there’s no point in risking him tomorrow. We’re working really hard to get him fit for the Liverpool game on Saturday.”

Additionally, Glasner confirmed that Nicolò Savona and Ryan Yates are still out.
“A lot of players look good and fresh and tomorrow is a cup competition,” Glasner said ahead of his side’s cup tie. “We want to have the same approach no matter the competition and try to win a trophy. We’ll have fresh minds and we’ll try to win the game.”
Glasner stressed that Forest will take the tournament seriously since they want to win silverware. But acknowledged that a lot of rotation will be required, especially so soon after the first game.
He reaffirmed that winning the game is Forest’s priority.
Savona is still a few weeks away from returning to the field. All due to a little setback in his recuperation from a significant knee injury. At this point, only a gym routine is allowed.
